Who we are
APKUK ("we", "us") operates apkuk.com, a directory of Android apps and games. For the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) we are the data controller for the personal data described on this page.
You can contact us about privacy at [email protected].
What we collect
Account and form data: if you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address and the content of your message. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address.
Comment data: if you leave a comment we store your name, email address and the comment itself, along with a hashed and truncated browser identifier to help us block spam.
Analytics data: we use privacy-friendly, aggregated analytics. We do not sell personal data and we do not build advertising profiles of you ourselves.
Cookies and advertising
We use essential cookies to run the site and remember your consent choices. With your permission we also use analytics and advertising cookies. You can accept, reject or change your choices at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer.
Third-party advertising partners, including Google, may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google’s Ads Settings. Where required, we pass a Consent Mode signal so advertising cookies are only used with your consent.
How long we keep data
Contact messages are kept for up to 24 months. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Comment data is kept for as long as the comment is published. Consent choices are stored for 12 months, after which we ask again.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete and restrict the processing of your personal data, and the right to object to processing and to data portability. You also have the right to withdraw consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. You have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you are unhappy with how we handle your data.
Security and changes
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit and access controls on our systems.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last reviewed.
